Still working on it slowly as far as I can tell NOBODY has been able to make a PHP class to generate .Net keys. If they have they are not selling it or providing examples. These numbers we are working with would cause your arm to cramp if you wrote them out in decimal!! If I had a working php .Net key generator and verifier class it would make life easier. I am stuck on getting the maths right. I can generate the key but for some reason the PHP maths class isn't doing what I expect it to do while formatting the keys.

Just a update I have been working on the maths problem, and I guess I may be hitting the limitations of PHP. I have posted on a few PHP forums and have had no luck yet. It must be the big numbers that scare them....maybe it too trivial or too hard. I don't really have a tool that can test these large numbers. I have even downloaded vb 2010 with .Net 4.0 which has big integer to build a checking tool. Ok does anyone have a tool that I can push 2 large intergers in base 64 and a E value into D DP DQ INVQ ? That would help check the PHP is generation the correct numbers.

Read the posts on PHP Alugen It's complicated. Essentially, we tried both VB6 version (CryptoAPI) and VB2008 (.NET RSA) implementation in PHP Alugen. Both proved difficult. Zeropoint came close but he's still working on big integer headaches The old PHP Alugen worked but with ALCrypto; unfortunately ALCrypto is no longer part of Activelock (ALCrypto is a special implementation of CryptoAPI). So, unless someone solves the problem either on the VB6 side or the .NET side, we have currently no PH Alugen that can be used to generate Activelock keys. Ultimately we need both implementations since VB6 and Vb2008 versions of Activelock are totally independent from each other. Sorry for the bad news...

Just further to what Ismail said, sort of slightly better news.
I am currently using PHP 3.4.1 with ActiveLock V3.6.0 (that uses AlCrypto) and it seems to work OK for me.
I can live without the fixes implemented since ActiveLock V3.6.0 release so I'm OK with PHP 3.4.1. If you must have the latest ActiveLock because of its fixes then Ismail is right in that we don't have a PHP that works with the latest ActiveLock. If however you can live with ActiveLock V3.6.0 then perhaps give it a try with PHP V3.4.1 and you may/should be OK .
/Michael

I've been reading this thread, and hope I can throw some resources at solving the issue. What exactly needs to be done to get the web based license generation via PHP to work? We'd be interested in sponsoring some development to get it working.

Hi waasim, Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Letely I've been relying on email notifications to highlight new posts but I didn't get an email for your post and saw it only this morning when I manually checked for new posts. As for the phpALUGen, I installed my phpALUGen v3.4.1 a couple of years ago while I had PHP 4.0 running on my server, or was it 4.1, not sure but all is still working OK. I now see that my PHP version on the server is 4.4.9 so it means that it works at least for PHP versions 4.0 through to 4.4.9. I don't know whether installation would work NOW (with 4.4.9 or 5) but at least it's working OK. The version of ActiveLock that I'm using in my applications is 3.6, as it still uses AlCrypto that works with phpALUGen v3.4.1, and I was lucky that I didn't need to go to 3.6.1 for the issues it resolves. If I had to do that then it wouldn't work with latest phpALUGen (v3.4.1). Sorry it's not much but I hope it helps you at least a bit by knowing the versions it works on. /Michael

So I guess my questions are:
1. Will we ever be able to have the ability to provide for a web based automatic generation of keys via PHP or is it just technically impossible?
2. If not impossible - what areas can I do some investigation on?
